Gathering Resources and Opportunities for Wellness (GROW)

Our coalition began in 2015 with a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National WIC Association (NWA). Cumberland Plateau Health District was chosen as one of 18 local agencies in the nation.

Our mission is to use the resources in our community to improve access to healthy foods and beverages by implementing policy, systems and environmental improvements in Southwest Virginia. By connecting all of the stakeholders in our area, we are better able to understand the resources we have and dicuss how we can positively impact our community now and in the future.
